Title: Guarding Angel (Fallen Redemption Book #1) Author: SL Saboviec Genre: Adult Fantasy Release Date: April 28th, 2014 Reveal Host: Lady Amber's Tours Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20452254-guarding-angel Synopsis: Guardian angel Enael canât seem to keep her human Wards in check. Theyâre the ones who choose their paths before reincarnatingâsheâs just there to help make sure they stay on track. But itâs not as easy as it might look. When she meets and falls in love with charismatic Kaspen, a fellow Guardian, Enaelâs feelings about Heaven, Hell, demons, and the life sheâs known are turned upside down. Worse, angel-turned-demon Yasva, Kaspenâs former love, still holds him in her clutches. Even as Yasva works toward obtaining complete control of Earth, she taunts and haunts Kaspenâs and Enaelâs lives. Now Enael is forced to face her past (which is centuries long and bursting with secrets), her present (which is terribly unfulfilling and full of questions), and her future (which becomes more uncertain as time passes). Armed with a newfound love and fear of losing it all, she must figure out how to save the worldâ-and the angel she loves. Which side will win? Who will Kaspen choose? Will Heaven and Earth continue to exist, or will everything go to Hell? S. L. Saboviec grew up in a small town in Iowa but now lives in the suburbs of Toronto with her Canadian husband and expatriate cat. Books that captured her imagination include Isaac Asimovâs The Gods Themselves, Orson Scott Cardâs Enderâs Game series, Sylvia Browneâs The Other Side and Back, and Stephanie Meyersâ The Host. My Ward, Daniel, put the horse in the barn, untacked him, closed the barn door, and made his way to the house. It dawned on us that the farmstead seemed unusual. The house was dark. No candle from Lily waiting up for him, no cheery fire from her having stoked the hearth. The only light came from the moon overhead. As Daniel walked from the stable, I tried to feel for the presence of humans or gaze through the wall to see who was inside. I couldnâtâit was as though a black curtain veiled the house. Something waited for Daniel. Written in neat lettering in Danielâs Book had been what was about to unfold, the consequences for sleeping with Miriam a second time. Maybe itâs not too late to stop this. My thought was irrational, but I desperately wanted to redeem myself. Perhaps I could convince him to feel guilt, remorse, and contrition when he came face-to-face with death. That should be worth something to the Council of Seraphim. I glided into the dining space ahead of Daniel. No lights burned. Upstairs, the bed was made. The pantry cabinet was closed. The hearth had been swept. The spinning wheel sat in the corner, but the basket of sewing supplies was missing. All the chairs were pushed under the dining table, exceptâ Danielâs wife Lily sat at the table, rifle pointed at the door.

The Portal Chronicles Soundtrack Single! About a year ago, when Imogen Rose, author of the cult bestselling series, the Portal Chronicles, was surfing YouTube she stumbled upon a song, “If We Fall” by SHE SAID SAVE ME, and instantly fell in love with both the lyrics and the male vocal. She put the song on her writing playlist and looked up the Toronto-based band on Facebook… and liked their page. A while later, Imogen received a PM from Joe Vercillo, saying that if her books were ever adapted for film or TV she should feel free to use his music. She had no idea who he was, but looked him up. Imagine her fan girl sqee moment when she discovered that he was the lead vocalist for SHE SAID SAVE ME! Imogen and Joe have been Facebook friends ever since. The Portal Chronicles starts off with a serendipitous meeting in a London pub, which propels the lives of the characters into a time warp of what-ifs. During the prologue, which is the key to the story, Rupert is humming a song in that London pub where Olivia and he seal their fate. Imogen Rose always wondered what he was singing. Until late one night, when she closed her eyes and “heard” it. Imogen wrote the lyrics and SHE SAID SAVE ME put it to music. What better day than Valentine’s Day to release this song that defines the romance that is PORTAL? PORTAL Lyrics Tonight you wished upon our star I had this feeling Releasing dreams into the dark Starlight revealing A shooting star of promises No delusions Fades into the lights below A spark of illusion It’s fantasy, unwritten destiny A portal to a secret wish Is this real, or is this just a midsummer night dream’s what-if Is this a dream of you and me Is this a dream of you and me Is this a dream of you and me What if you’re not real, just hallucination? An imaginary fixation What if we escape to a new dimension? Through a time warp in a broken constellation It’s fantasy, unwritten destiny A portal to a secret wish Is this real, or is this just a midsummer night dream’s what-if Is this a dream of you and me Is this a dream of you and me Is this a dream of you and me Title: First Glance Series: The Adelaide Paige Saga Genre: NA contemporary/ romantic suspense/ crime Warning: Contains violence and sex scenes. Add to your Goodreads shelf: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18405105-first-glance My Review: Adelaide is working at the morgue. Her life changes completly when she discover that she have the ability to see the past and sometimes the future. Just by touching a corpse or someone will sometimes trigger a vision. That is not necessarily a gift as the visions are not always great. She is afraid to talk to anybody about these visions because she thinks that they will think she is crazy. With all that stress, the best remedy for her is always coffee. She then met Killian the awesome guy working at the coffee place near home. At first, she didn't like him he had his way of upsetting her but then he seems to be fascinated by her. Who is that guy really? Is he good or bad? Will she tells him her secret? Back at work, when many girls her age died in similar circumstances and arrived at the morgue, by her vision, Adelaide discover that there is a serial killer out there targetting girls like her. She has to talk to someone about that but who? The police? Her boss? Her best friend? Who is that killer? All answers will be found in that wonderful story. My opinion: First of all, thank you so much Laura for allowing me to read your story before it comes out. It was very refreshing. It a short story but what a story!!! I couldn't put it down and I read it in one day. There is a lot of suspense in that book and I couldn't figure out what would happen next. I was really happy to learn that there will be other books to the series. I feel in love with the characters, I can't wait to get into episode 2 and see what's in store for Adelaide. Excerpt Getting a call to come into work at three in the morning is not a new thing for me. I often expect it. But I didn’t expect this. “This better be important, Jim, if I’m giving up my warm bed for this.” “It is Addy. I can assure you.” “Ugh! Why are you so perky this time of morning!” “I’m a vampire. I sleep during the day.” I shoot ice missiles at my unnaturally perky assistant as he strolls over the fridge to retrieve the reason I was called down here. In less than a minute he has the body bag on a gurney and wheeled in front of me and sliding onto the metal slab. “It still gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.” I glance at him in confusion and anticipation and start to unzip the bag. The face that greets me is not what I was expecting. I jump back with a shriek. Normally I am fine around dead bodies, being a morgue technician and studying forensic science, but nothing I have seen previously prepares me for this. Lying on the slab in front of me pale and cold is a face more familiar to me than anyone else’s. It’s my face. Author Bio L.L.
