My Description:
Jany comes back home for the funeral of her mother after many years away from home. She left the house when she had enough of her drunk, violent and abusing father. Coming back home brings a lot of bad and some good memories. When she arrives she immediately notice a really sexy guy spying on her. She will soon discover who he is and why he is following her.

Damien is that guy. He has one goal it it to bring back honor to his family. Damien's family and Jany's family are related. One ancestor from Jany's family have stolen a scepter from Damien's family and killed for it. Damien wants to use Jany to get to the scepter but someone else seems to get it before him.

Jany and Damien will have to team together to reach their goals. Hers it to get rid of her father and his is to get the scepter. Feeling a strong appeal towards each other, they will have to deal with this at the same time they have to build trust to each other. And danger is always near...

Will they be able to reach their goals without getting hurt? Do they have a futur together?

My Opinion:
I really really liked that book. The story is pretty short but with so much happening. We don't get lost in descriptions and I really like that. We are switching from Jany's thought in one chapter another Damien's thought in the other chapter. We rarely are able to have both main characters thought and that is very cool. The attraction between Jany and Damien is going a little fast but it is so good to imagine what they feel for each other.
To conclude I really like the end of the book which is surprising and now I really want to see what's next. Great job N. Kuhn!!!

The N in N. Kuhn is actually Nicole. She was born and raised in western New York. She grew up with a love of books, and a passion for writing. She was always found with her nose in a book. If we remember the end of the previous book, Arizona had lost a whole year of memory. By sending back Gertrude to the other dimension, Arizona is back to her previous life, her Darley life. She don't recall anything from the previous year.

So this is where the book begins. Arizona is trying to put the puzzle together. She really wants to remember and gather the missing information from the previous year. Even if she can't explain it, she seems to feel a pull toward Kellan however, she still have David in mind.

There is a big surprise at the beginning of the book for the readers of the Bonfire Chronicles because we are (in time) right at the end of the Integration book where everything is going wrong in the paranormal world and Jagger Devereaux knock on Rupert Darley's door to ask for his help in a serious matter. Without knowing exactly what is going on (and knowing Imogen it's her way of making sure we want to read the other books) this situation is following us through the book and is influencing the story without revealing much of it.

So because of this situation, Rupert Darley make sure that his family is not in danger and arrange to have wanderers in charge of each of them. Moreover, David brings back Gertrude hoping to help Arizona remember and be back to normal but Gertrude just confused her more. Then Arizona discover that she has a doppelganger and that she is David's boyfriend. She will immediately be very curious and will try to find a way to know more about her and to see her by herself.

Will Arizona finally be able to regain memory? Does her relationship with Kellan will be back to normal? Will the family be safe? What would happen if Arizona Darley meets Arizona Spencer? Is there other doppelgangers out there? All these questions will be answered in that wonderful book.

My opinion:
I think I already said it but I absolutely love the Portal Chronicles series and I love Imogen Rose writing. This book is the perfect end for the perfect series. You know, when we read about love triangle, we always feel a little sad for the person who doesn't finish with the girl. How about creating a doppelganger so everybody is happy!! That is just perfect.

I just finished Integration a couple of weeks ago and I was so surprise and happy to see Jagger in that book. It feels to me that it was just the perfect order to read Imogen's book, Integration and then Fusion and I assume Uprising (coming soon) will be the best book to read next because it will bring the answers that we don't have in Fusion. I don't know any other author who are linking two different stories of them that way.

Fusion book is full of suspense even more than any other Portal Chronicle books you won't get bored at all. It's a five stars for me. I definitively recommend it!!

Depuis toujours, Luce est poursuivie par des ombres inquiétantes. Celles-ci se tiennent toujours à distance jusqu'à ce qu'elles causent une catastrophe. Luce est la seule à voir ces ombres et à y croire. Cette tragédie est ce qui amène Luce à être transférée à Sword & Cross une sorte d'école de réforme. Dès sa première journée, elle déteste cette école où la surveillance est constante, les cellulaires sont interdits et où elle ne peut pas porter ce qu'elle veut. Elle fait rapidement la connaissance de Cam, d'Arianne qui va lui montrer ce qu'il y a à savoir à l'école et du mystérieux Daniel. Dès que leurs yeux entrent en contact, elle est immédiatement intriguée et surtout attirée par lui. Elle a l'impression de l'avoir déjà rencontré. Malheureusement, même si il a semblé ressentir la même chose au début, il devient rapidement indifférent ce qui déstabilise Luce et ne fait qu'attiser son attirance et sa curiosité.

Elle se fait également courtiser par Cam que Luce trouve très intéressant. Il est très attentionné et affectueux bref tout ce qu'elle peut désirer et elle est attirée mais elle a toujours Daniel derrière la tête.
 
Avec l'aide de Penn, la seule autre élève qui semble normale comme elle, Luce va faire des recherches sur la famille de Daniel Grigori pour tenter d'en découvrir plus à son sujet. Est-elle vraiment prête à découvrir ses secrets? Il semble déterminé à lui cacher son passé et à nier qu'ils se sont déjà connus. De plus, les ombres sont toujours présentes et semblent aussi plus déterminées qu'auparavant à lui nuire.

J'ai lu ce livre dans le cadre d'une lecture commune avec Jessika (Petite Bulle). Jessika lisait le livre en français tandis que moi je l'ai lu en anglais.

Le début du livre m'a rappelé le début de la série Twilight. Fille qui arrive dans une nouvelle école et découvre un beau gars mystérieux qui lui l'évite délibèrément. J'ai tout de suite aimé l'histoire. Depuis Twilight, il a été difficile de trouver des histoires d'amour aussi passionnées et je pense avoir trouvé. Le livre est pleins de rebondissements auxquels on ne peut pas s'attendre. On peut essayer d'imaginer mais elle arrive à nous surprendre. L'histoire se promène entre le mystère des inquiétantes ombres qui suivent Luce sans cesse et son dilemme entre Cam et Daniel les deux garçons qui font vibrer son coeur.

Je ne peux pas en dire trop sinon je vais révéler des "spoilers" alors je préfère vous dire que c'est une excellente romance paranormale et j'ai très hâte de lire la suite. J'espère que vous aurez le goût de découvrir cette lecture.
