My Description:
If we remember the end of the previous book, Arizona had lost a whole year of memory. By sending back Gertrude to the other dimension, Arizona is back to her previous life, her Darley life. She don't recall anything from the previous year.

So this is where the book begins. Arizona is trying to put the puzzle together. She really wants to remember and gather the missing information from the previous year. Even if she can't explain it, she seems to feel a pull toward Kellan however, she still have David in mind.

There is a big surprise at the beginning of the book for the readers of the Bonfire Chronicles because we are (in time) right at the end of the Integration book where everything is going wrong in the paranormal world and Jagger Devereaux knock on Rupert Darley's door to ask for his help in a serious matter. Without knowing exactly what is going on (and knowing Imogen it's her way of making sure we want to read the other books) this situation is following us through the book and is influencing the story without revealing much of it.

So because of this situation, Rupert Darley make sure that his family is not in danger and arrange to have wanderers in charge of each of them. Moreover, David brings back Gertrude hoping to help Arizona remember and be back to normal but Gertrude just confused her more. Then Arizona discover that she has a doppelganger and that she is David's boyfriend. She will immediately be very curious and will try to find a way to know more about her and to see her by herself.

Will Arizona finally be able to regain memory? Does her relationship with Kellan will be back to normal? Will the family be safe? What would happen if Arizona Darley meets Arizona Spencer? Is there other doppelgangers out there? All these questions will be answered in that wonderful book.

My opinion:
I think I already said it but I absolutely love the Portal Chronicles series and I love Imogen Rose writing. This book is the perfect end for the perfect series. You know, when we read about love triangle, we always feel a little sad for the person who doesn't finish with the girl. How about creating a doppelganger so everybody is happy!! That is just perfect.

I just finished Integration a couple of weeks ago and I was so surprise and happy to see Jagger in that book. It feels to me that it was just the perfect order to read Imogen's book, Integration and then Fusion and I assume Uprising (coming soon) will be the best book to read next because it will bring the answers that we don't have in Fusion. I don't know any other author who are linking two different stories of them that way.

Fusion book is full of suspense even more than any other Portal Chronicle books you won't get bored at all. It's a five stars for me. I definitively recommend it!!

Mon résumé - My Description :
Cordelia is back to Bonfire Academy but as a member of the staff this time. She will be the assistant of Professor Bern. Faustine is back but for her Integration. Very soon, they will find out that their year at Bonfire Academy will not be a smooth one. Mason, the one who tried to kill Cordelia last year is now back to school, Faustine receives a death threat in the form of a Haiku and Quinn is suddenly missing without any notice to anyone not even to Cordelia.

Cordelia will have to work with King Sebastian (Faustine's father) to try to discover where is Quinn and to help discover who shent that death threat to Faustine.

As for Jagger, he is also back this year and Quinn being away, will help the relation between him and Cordelia.

What happened to Quinn? Is he in danger? Will Cordelia and King Sebastian will find out who is behind the Haiku in time before something bad happens? Will the realtion between Cordelia and Jagger evoluate? Read it you won't regret it I promise.

Personnages - Characters:
Cordelia: She is no longer and mentor or a student, she is now a member of the school staff. Last year, she was proposed by Professor Bern to become her assistant.

Faustine: Now in her Integration year. She as more self-confidence in her and maybe too much... She is still hanging out with her best friends Martha and the vampire twins.

King Sebastian: He is more present in this book. He is Faustine's father. He will help, with his relations, to discover who is threatening his daugther and to find out where is Quinn.

Mason: A shifter who can shift into a huge eagle. He is the one who tried to kill Cordelia many times last year. He is back to Bonfire Academy because his father bought his return by giving a lot of money for a new lab dome. He seems more low profile this year but is it really true?

And many other very interesting characters.

Mon avis - My opinion:
I loved the first book, Inititation, but WOW this book is even better than the first one. There is a lot of things happening at the same time and a lot of suspense in that book. To be honest, at first when I found out that Mason was back at school I was afraid that we would fall into the same pattern as the first year but not at all.

Once again, Imogen Rose caught me right at the beginning and kept me fascinating until the end. And, I must say, and I don't want to reveal anything but the end of the book, let us think that the third book will be even better.

I must say that I am a fan of the couple Cordelia/Jagger and I was happy to see them having more time together in that book. What about Mason you will ask? He disappeared... and Frau Schmelder was .... and then .... sky diving.... No I won't say anything, you will have to find out by yourself.

Cordelia return to Bonfire Academy for her third year (a voluntary year). It is suppose to be a of enrichment year, a year to further developing your skills. Here intention was to concentrate on tennis. But then, she has been ask to mentor the first half human half paranormal and the youngess being admitted to the school, Faustine. Mentoring a half human in a school full of paranormals like vampires, shifters, werewolves,etc. won't be an easy task.

On top of that, when she meets with Jagger, a faery responsible of the student council, something very strange happen and she synch with him. She is now bound to him.  Already having a boyfriend that she loves more than anything, Quinn, a demon like her, how will she deal with her love for Quinn and her chemical attraction for Jagger.

Will Cordelia be able to protect Faustine from all the paranormals that seems in need of her human blood? Will Faustine be able to learn to control her paranormal skills? Will she learn why she black out everytime she is in danger? You will find out in that excellent book.

Cordelia revient à l'Académie Bonfire pour sa troisième année (une année sur base volontaire). C'est supposé être une année d'enrichissement, une année pour paufiner ses talents. Ayant déjà un petit ami qu'elle aime plus que tout au monde, Quinn, un démon comme elle, comment fera-t-elle pour gérer son amour pour Quinn et son attirance chimique pour Jagger?
